MINING AND EXPLORATION

Mining and natural resource extraction and utilization have for decades provided the backbone of the South African economy. The correct and sustainable utilization of these natural resources is receiving greater attention and legislative control on protecting the environment. The environmental legislation in South Africa specifically requires that the potential impacts on the environment are assessed before awarding the relevant Rights/Permits. Further, the ongoing management of the environmental footprint and interaction is legislatively managed and monitored throughout the mining cycle, from feasibility right through to closure and rehabilitation.

We help with the required processes to prepare and submit applications for mining rights, production rights, exploration rights, prospecting rights, and mining permits. This includes all the necessary baseline investigations, feasibility assessments, public participation processes, impact assessments, and related permits and authorizations.

We also help with Mine closures & rehabilitation, Applications for mining permits, licenses, and prospecting at the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) as well as GIS and Geotech & Geohydrological services
